What defines DefenceReport from news agencies is that we want to help shape the new and political conversations. We achieve this through in-house reports, academic papers, and the books we write and edit — this also leads to media interviews.

Typically, we upload the media coverage of our analysis to the site on the same day, but that did not happen this time.

Kyle Duggan of the Canadian Press picked up our report last week about the Canadian submarine acquisition. This meant that his articles were in most newspapers from the Times Colonist in Victoria, BC, to Halifax, Nova Scotia. It also meant that there were radio discussions about the report.

A longer piece, which included quotes from an interview with Stewart Webb about the report, was published by The Canadian Press. A shorter piece was also published, providing a synopsis of the report.
