Iran

Iran restored internet to its people, but continues to block social media sites. Iran imposed 88 days of near-total internet isolation on its people to curb unrest and protests.

Iran says that the recent “self-defence” strikes on Iran violate the ceasefire. A post was made on Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei’s Telegram channel, saying that the US will no longer have a safe haven in the region. It should be noted that there has still been no public appearance of the new Supreme Leader.

Training and maintenance cuts are happening within the US military as the Iran War is draining the US military budget. The Pentagon’s most recent assessment is that the Iran War has cost upwards of $20 billion. But that assessment was estimated on the cost of munitions and destroyed aircraft and didn’t include construction costs for rebuilding bases – so that could double to $40 billion.
