Developing Russia’s Northern Sea Route is more than just an economic project. It is another step in Russia’s bilateral relations with China, India and, consequently, Iran. This report examines Russia’s relations with the development of the trade route and its implications for the Russian economy and of Russia being in control of a potentially vital trade route between Europe and Asia.
